The €90 billion loan approved by the European Union (EU) for Ukraine will be repaid using compensations that Russia must pay to Ukraine, the press service of the Council of the European Union said in a statement, APA reports.
According to the information, payments to Ukraine under the loan will begin from the second quarter of this year.
“The loan will help meet the country’s most urgent budget needs and demand for defense-industrial capacity for 2026 and 2027,” the statement said.
