Ukraine may propose a territorial exchange with Russia, involving part of Russia’s Kursk region in return for Ukrainian land currently under occupation, stated President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with The Guardian, APA reports.
He said that if negotiations with Russia begin, he plans to propose a direct land swap to Moscow. Kyiv would offer part of the Kursk region in exchange for Ukrainian territory.
"We will swap one territory for another," Zelenskyy said.
He added that it remains unclear which occupied territories Ukraine would demand in return.
"I don’t know, we will see. But all our territories are important, there is no priority," he added.
