A brief loss of external power occurred at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. The plant was powered by backup diesel generators for an hour, Yevgeniya Yashina, the plant's communications director, told TASS, APA reports.
"There was a brief power loss. The station's own power was supplied by diesel generators for an hour. They were restarted as planned. The staff responded quickly and professionally," Yashina said.
No safety violations were recorded at the Zaporizhzhia NPP. After the regular power supply system was restored, the emergency diesel generators were put on standby. "Within a short time, the plant's regular power supply system was restored. All diesel generators were put on standby. No violations of safety limits or conditions were recorded," Yashina said.
