The United Kingdom Ministry of Defence shared in its latest intelligence report that Russia's Soviet-era tactics, coupled with "aging vehicles and weapons" are preventing its forces from "quickly gaining or building momentum" on the battlefield, APA reports citing Teletrader.
After capturing Lysychansk, the Russian army has been unable to achieve any "significant territorial advances," although it continues to carry out "artillery strikes" in the Donbass region, the ministry noted.
The ministry further continued by saying that although Kiev and Moscow representatives continue to discuss the issue of grain exports, "the prospects of wider talks to end the conflict remain low."
