A car in the motorcade of the Serbian president, in which Aleksandar Vucic was riding, lost a wheel while driving. The head of state said that he was not injured, APA reports citing TASS.
"I will give you some clarification. Whether it was a damaged, blown tire, as I think, or something else - this is for the competent authorities to determine. They will deal with it. I arrived in [the settlement of] Mokrin and got into another car," Vucic noted.
Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic said the incident in which a wheel fell off the president's car should not be taken lightly. "I would not play with such things, I would demand a serious examination and increased security measures around the president," Vucevic emphasized. "We are waiting for the results of the investigation to find out how exactly the wheel fell off. This could have threatened the president, and therefore the entire country. I believe that the technical condition and maintenance of these cars require even more careful monitoring to prevent a threat to the president's life."
