At least five people have been killed in Kyiv as a result of Russia’s overnight attack, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on his X account, APA reports.
According to him, around 40 people were injured in the capital Kyiv, while another seven were injured in the Kyiv region. It was also reported that 28 people were injured in Kharkiv and two others in the Odesa region.
Zelenskyy noted that a total of 180 sites across the country, including more than 50 residential buildings, were damaged.
Zelenskyy stressed that there must be a “just response” to the strikes and called for increased pressure on Moscow.
“It is important that global sanctions against Russia remain in place. Russia’s accountability for this war, and our sanctions pressure, must work at full strength,” Zelenskyy stated.
