Russian military journalist Semyon Pegov detained in Chisinau

Russian military journalist Semyon Pegov, who propagandized Armenia during the Second Karabakh War, has been detained in Moldova, says TASS citing Russian State Duma deputy Artyom Turov, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.

Turov wrote on the Telegram channel that Pegov was detained by Moldovan special services while flying from Chisinau to Moscow. The Russian MP said that Pegov was interrogated by the Moldovan information and security service for more than an hour, searched, his phone and laptop were examined in detail, and then released.

According to Turov, Pegov went to Moldova to make a film about the Transnistrian conflict.

Notable Semyon Pegov is the author of the Wargonzo project on YouTube. With the support of Armenian media mogul Aram Gabrielyanov, he became known for spreading false news in support of Armenia and Armenian separatists in Karabakh during the Second Karabakh War.
