American President Donald Trump announced that the US authorities have offered to provide Iran with medical supplies, APA reports.
"No, the bottom line is that <...> they need help with medicine and other things," the American leader said, commenting at Andrews Air Force Base near Washington, D.C., at the request of journalists, on reports that US Vice President J.D. Vance had sent a letter to Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei seeking to resume negotiations on a settlement of the conflict.
"He asked me what I thought about it. I said that if he wants to do it, then yes, it's possible. Essentially, it's about providing what is needed for people who are unwell," Trump added.
