If Kyiv needs it, Poland is ready to provide Ukraine with MiG-29 fighter jets in exchange for drones, said Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv, APA reports, citing RBC-Ukraine.
“We talked here about a mutual exchange, and Ukraine is ready for such an exchange. We are talking about Ukrainian drones, because we want to build an effective system to counter drones in Poland. Cooperation with Ukraine is a priority for us in this matter,” he added.
Tusk announced Poland’s 48th package of military assistance to Ukraine.
According to him, the new package will be worth approximately 200 million zlotys (more than $55 million) and will be mainly focused on armored equipment.
