Baku-APA. Turkish National Security Council (MGK) members have underlined their determination to keep up the fight against terrorism, APA reports quoting Todays Zaman.
The statement, released after an MGK meeting in Ankara on Thursday, said the council's determination continues in fighting against all terrorist organizations, adding that coordination and cooperation with the international community in counter-terrorism is important.
Noting that MGK discussed the humanitarian dimension of incidents in Syria as well as their effect on regional security and stability, the statement said council members also assessed the current stage of international solution initiatives to stop the bloodshed in Syria.
Recent incidents in Iraq were also high on the agenda of the meeting, said the statement, adding that Turkey would continue to support efforts to restore a permanent stability in Iraq.
The statement noted that the Middle East peace process was also discussed in the meeting.
