Azerbaijanis protest against Iran in UK - <span style="color: red;">PHOTOSESSION

Baku. Konul Jafarli – APA. On the occasion of International Mother Language Day, a protest against Iran was held in London on February 24, representative of GAIP (South Azerbaijan Independence Party) to the UK, Azerbaijani living in London Araz Yurtsever told APA.

He said that the members of the GAIP, Al-Ahwaz Arab Peoples Democratic Popular Front and Balochistan Liberation Front attended the protest: “A large number of non-Persian people live in Iran. Only the Persians have the right to get education in their mother tongue. As an exception there are also Armenian schools. The rest of the nations do not have right to get education in their mother tongue. Thus, as a protest against it, we gathered outside the British Prime Minister's Office holding flags and posters at 14:00 by local time. We chanted national and political slogans in Azerbaijani and English during the protest that lasted for 2 hours.”
