EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas agrees with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte’s view that Europe is currently unable to defend itself without U.S. support, APA reports.
According to her, the EU is trying to address this problem by increasing investments in the defense sector.
“Yes, this is the situation at the moment. But the EU is working on it and increasing investments in defense,” Kallas emphasized at a press conference in Oslo during her visit to Norway.
Recall that Mark Rutte called on Europeans in Davos to "give up dreams" that it is possible to defend Europe without relying on the United States.
