Severe economic consequences of the pandemic in Georgia show itself by the annual inflation rate reaching a 10-year high this year, APA's local bureau reports.
According to the report announced by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), in November of the current year, inflation has increased by 0,6% in comparison to the previous month in the country, annual inflation figure has made up 12,5%.
Sharply increase of the inflation has made difficult the purchase of most goods in the minimum consumer basket. Thus, bread prices have increased by 22%, egg prices by 41,6%, sunflower oil prices by 40,7%, sugar prices by 34,7%, and potato prices by 33,7% in Georgia in November.
