Bulgaria's Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced the official results of the vote count in the second round of the presidential election, APA reports.
According to information published on the CEC's website, candidates for president and vice president Iliana Iotova and Kiril Valchev received 57.636% of the votes (more than 1.077 million votes).
Meanwhile, Andrey Gyurov and Georgi Kandev secured 39.402% (approximately 736,000 votes).
The results were announced based on the counting of 98.43% of the protocols from election commissions as of 03:00 local time.
The final election results will be announced no later than November 4.

According to information published on the commission's website, presidential and vice-presidential candidates Iliana Iotova and Kiril Valchev received 57.943 percent of the vote, while Andrey Gyurov and Georgi Kandev secured 39.007 percent.
The results are based on data as of 11:00 p.m. local time (12:00 a.m. Baku time).
By that time, 17.39 percent of the election commission protocols had been processed.
