Ukraine's Security Service has arrested an individual involved in espionage in accordance with Russian intelligence interests, APA reports citing unian.
According to the report, the operation was carried out under the leadership of the head of the service, Vasyl Maliuk.
It has been revealed that the arrested individual is Colonel Dmitry Kozyura, the Head of the Counterterrorist Center at the Ukrainian Security Service.
While discussing the details, Maliuk stated that all methods of open and covert operational-search activities were used during the person's arrest: "We intervened in the electronic devices used by Colonel Dmitry Kozyura, the Head of the Counterterrorist Center at the Ukrainian Security Service, through encrypted software in accordance with special procedures, as well as used audio-video surveillance methods. During this process, his actions, specifically the transmission of relevant information to the opposing side, were fully proven."
