Türkiye’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan held a phone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Russian media reported, citing a source at the Turkish Foreign Ministry, APA reports.
During the call, Fidan discussed the situation surrounding the Ukraine conflict with Lavrov and confirmed that Türkiye is ready to host a new round of negotiations.
The source said energy security issues were also discussed during the conversation.
In addition, Fidan and Lavrov discussed the cessation of conflicts in the Middle East and the possibilities for diplomatic solutions.
