Germany's request to purchase Typhon launchers and Tomahawk cruise missiles from the United States is still under consideration, a German Defense Ministry spokesperson told reporters, APA reports.
"The purchase from the US had already been announced previously through a letter of intent. The timeline of events is as follows: the ELSA project was launched in 2023, the possible deployment of systems between the two countries was discussed in 2024, and in 2025, an intergovernmental request for the delivery of Typhon launchers equipped with Tomahawk systems was received. This request is still under consideration," a German Defense Ministry spokesperson said.
