Consumer prices in Germany increased by 7.6% in June compared to the corresponding month the year prior, according to the final report released by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) on Wednesday. On a monthly basis, consumer prices were up 0.1%, APA reports citing Tele Trader.
The annual goods inflation rate stood at 14% in June, with energy prices soaring 38% and food prices rising 12.7%. Excluding food and energy, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 3.2% up year over year. Prices of services were 2.1% higher on a yearly basis.
