The use of communication devices, including mobile phones and tablets, will be prohibited in private schools as well, just like public schools, APA reports, citing interpressnews.ge.
The initiative to ban communication devices in private schools was raised by Rima Beradze, a member of the Georgian Dream party, at the Education Committee, to which the deputies of the minister noted that the restriction will also apply to private schools.
“Yes, of course, it should be in the private school segment as well. We are talking about communication devices. We are not talking only about mobile phones. It can be tablets, watches, etc.,” said Deputy Minister of Education Tamar Makharashvili.
