Georgia abolishes  "green passport" system

Georgia has abolished the "green passport" system, which was used to combat a new type of coronavirus, APA'S local bureau reports.

The relevant decision was made at a meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council chaired by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.

The decision reads that despite the growing number of Omicron cases, it is possible to control the situation and the pressure on the hospital sector has not increased significantly.

It was stated that infected patients are mainly treated at home by family doctors.

However, the citizens traveling abroad will be able to use it will be possible to use the "green passport" system.
