All expressions such as gender and gender identity will be removed from the existing laws in Georgia, APA's Tbilisi correspondent reports.
A relevant legislative package has been presented to parliament by MPs from the ruling Georgian Dream and Strength of the People parties.
According to the initiative, the title of the "Gender Equality Law" will be changed to "Law on Equality between Women and Men."
Additionally, the expression gender issues in the laws will be replaced with issues of equality between women and men, and the term gender intolerance will be replaced with intolerance to equality between women and men.
The legislative package has been submitted to the relevant committees of parliament for review.
