There has been a 25% increase in the number of containers transported to third countries through the territory of Azerbaijan and Georgia, said Rashad Nabiyev, Azerbaijan's Minister of Digital Development and Transport, who is on a visit to Georgia, after a meeting with the First Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, APA's Tbilisi correspondent reports.
"We have ensured that goods from China reach their destination in 12-15 days via Baku and Kutaisi, whereas previously the same shipments took about 53 days," Rashad Nabiyev said.
The minister emphasized that cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan will contribute to the development and attractiveness of the "Middle Corridor".
