South Caucasus is a region of vital importance for the security and prosperity of the European Union, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili said on the air of Rustavi 2 TV channel, APA's local bureau reports.
According to her, in this context, relations with Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan acquire a completely different significance for the EU.
The minister noted that while until now the EU's relations and policy with the South Caucasus countries were carried out from a different perspective, today it is already clear that this region is of great importance for the EU.
"I hope that the approaches that the European Union will use in its relations with the South Caucasus countries will be more realistic," Bochorishvili added.
