24 OSCE member states establish mission on Georgia

24 OSCE member states are creating an expert mission on Georgia, APA's local bureau reports, citing the British Foreign Office.

It was noted that 24 countries have activated the OSCE's "Moscow Mechanism" in connection with the deterioration of the human rights situation in Georgia.

The fact-finding mission will prepare an objective and impartial report and recommendations on Georgia. The joint statement calls on Georgia to cooperate and create conditions for the mission's work.

Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Iceland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Moldova, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and Sweden joined the document.
