Baku-APA. At least eleven people were arrested in London during peaceful rallies called ‘Occupy London’ as part of ‘occupy’ anti-capitalism protests across the world, the SkyNews.com reported on Sunday, APA reports quoting RIA Novosti.

In all, 300 people took part in the protest, having set up tents near the Stock Exchange, which is close to the St. Paul’s Cathedral and holding banners that said “Bank of England is the St Paul’s of Money” and “A Line of Tents Guards Our Future.”

Those participating in the rally later reported in their website accounts that between 12 and 13 people were arrested, while police refrained from giving any figures.

The official website of the Occupy worldwide movement says people want to “end the monetized relationship between corrupt politicians and corporate criminals,” and have “a system that operates in the interest of the people.”
