France opposes Hosni Mubarak’s execution

Egypt’s Prosecutors General demanded a death sentence for the Egyptian ex-president, Hosni Mubarak, country’s former interior minister Habib El-Adly and his six deputies.
“Irrespective of place and reason, France has always opposed the death penalty. We want the abolition of death sentence in all countries, and Egypt is not exclusionâ€.
Hosni Mubarak and former leadership of the Interior Ministry are accused of firing at the protesters during the popular movement started in Egypt early 2011. The accused didn’t accept the charge. Their lawyers said that the police was strongly instructed not to fire at the protesters. Besides, police officers, who were ensuring the security of the demonstrators, were not armed. The trial of the case of Mubarak and his supporters will be continued on January 9-10.
