APA reports quoting Turkish press that Erdogan offered condolences to the families of killed.

According to him, Turkey’s military had been monitoring the area because it was in constant use by terrorist groups and that security forces had become suspicious because of the size of the group and number of donkeys used.

The funerals of the victims, who all came from three villages in the Uludere area of Sirnak province, should now have been conducted, he said. He described Wednesday’s airstrike as an "exceptional incident" that should be investigated according to the law: “It is impossible for any country to bomb its citizen”.

Turkish warplanes bombed the territory of Uludere region of Sirnak province which is situated on Turkey-Iraq border. The drones and thermal cameras detected a group of persons crossing the Iraqi-Turkish borders. The warplanes launched strike on the persons suspected as the PKK terrorists. 35 people were killed. The population of border villages said that the killed were not terrorists, but the villagers. They said these people were smugglers of fuel oil from Iraq to Turkey.
