Next EU summit to be held on Jan. 30: Van Rompuy

Baku-APA. The next summit of the European Union (EU) will be held on January 30 of 2012, EU president Herman Van Rompuy announced late Tuesday in a video message, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

"Our next summit is already scheduled for 30 January," and the meeting will be focused on jobs, with "zero growth expected in most of our economies" and some facing "recession," said the president.

While saying leaders had already "taken major decisions this year to overcome the sovereign debt crisis," Van Rompuy also said that "bringing financial stability to the eurozone remains absolutely the key for our future."
