Russia confirms its offer of assistance to EU

Baku-APA. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that Moscow is ready to help the European Union combat the financial crisis that has stricken most countries in the euro zone, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

"Our country is ready to join, and has already joined, the process of resolving the problems to overcome the crisis....We are ready to offer practical and real assistance, first of all, through the International Monetary Fund (to the euro zone countries)," Putin told a visiting German business delegation in Moscow.

The state of the Russian economy is stable enough, he said, adding that Russia has all capabilities of offering such assistance

Putin said that Russia could not avoid being affected by the crisis, and all nations must coordinate to cope with the crisis that may affect the whole world.

Putin also said that Russia would completely recover from the crisis by early 2012.
