Moscow Ex-Mayor Denied Residency in Latvia

Baku – APA. Latvia has rejected a residency request by Moscow’s former mayor Yury Luzhkov, who was fired from his job by the Kremlin last year, APA reports quoting “The Voice of Americaâ€.
Instead, Latvia placed the once-powerful Russian politician on a “blacklist†of people who are not welcome to live in the Baltic state.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev dismissed Luzhkov in September 2010, citing what he said were the politician’s questionable policies and negligence.
