Baku-APA. Two people in Denmark has died of the A/H1N1 flu, reported Danish media on Tuesday, APA reports quoting Xinhua News Agency.

The dead were two men in their 50s. None of them had any known chronic diseases or other risk factors.

"For most people, the common flu is a harmless disease. However, some people become seriously ill and die, even when they are not belonging to a group that is considered to be at risk," said Else Smith, director of the National Board of Health.

"These two deaths should not worry people but they do reinforce the importance on being aware of the body’s signals and one’s personal hygiene," she added.

People should go to see a doctor if they were sick more than three days with the flu, suffering high body temperature and breath difficulty, she said.

The A/H1N1 flu was declared by the World Health Organization as a pandemic in 2009.

During this winter, the virus strain has resurfaced in several European countries including Britain, Sweden, Iceland and Finland.
