Astana hosts OSCE High Level Conference on Tolerance and Non-Discrimination

Baku. Lachin Sultanova - APA. The OSCE High-Level Conference on Tolerance and Non-Discrimination is being held in Astana, APA reports. Azerbaijan is represented by Head of the State Committee for Religious Communities Hidayet Orujov, Department Chief of Foreign Ministry Alimirzamin Asgarov and Head of the â€œIntegration of Azerbaijan Youth to the Europeâ€ organization Gulsel Safarova.

Senior representative of the Alliance of civilizations Gorge Sampayo, PACE president Movlud Chavushoglu, Head of the ODIHR OSCE Yanesh Lenarcic and other high ranking officials attend the event.

The conference will highlight areas where implementation of existing OSCE commitments in the field of tolerance and non-discrimination has taken place and identify areas where further implementation is needed. It will also highlight best practices of States and civil society in selected areas, as well as areas where OSCE institutions have supported States and civil society in implementing their commitments.
