Baku-APA. France will host the next Group of Eight (G8) summit in 2011, it was announced here at the end of the 2010 Muskoka G8 summit in Canada on Saturday, APA reports quoting Xinhua News Agency.
"Leaders welcomed the offer of France to host the next Summit in France in 2011," said the Muskoka Declaration issued upon the conclusion of the G8 summit.
France will take over the rotating G8 presidency from Canada next year. Canada, which is also hosting the Fourth Summit of the Group of 20 (G20) in its largest city Toronto just hours after the end of the G8 summit, has become the first country to host the two important international forums back to back.
It remained unknown when and where exactly the next G8 summit in France will take place, or whether it will once again go side by side with the G20 summit.
