French national football team has new coach

Baku â€“ APA. Laurent Blanc has been officially appointed coach of French national football team. Laurent Blanc has signed a two-year deal with the French Football Federation. APA reports that he will succeed Raymond Domenech.

Reports that Laurent Blanc will be coach of the national team spread before the start of the World Cup. The French national team is performing weakly in the World Cup. (France tied with Uruguay, lost to Mexico and Republic of South Africa).

Moreover, the French national team had a serious scandal during the championship. Nicolas Anelka, who insulted the coach, was dismissed, the other players refused to attend trainings as a sign of protest. Finally, President of France Nicolas Sarkozy was involved to investigate the causes of the conflict.

Laurent Blanc had played for Montpellier, NÃ®mes, Saint-Ã‰tienne, Auxerre, Marseille clubs of France, Napoli, Inter of Italy, Barcelona of Spain and Manchester United.

Blanc started his career as a coach in 2007, he coached Bordeaux club for three years. Bordeaux became champion of France last year.
