Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA. Matthew Maynard, fugitive burglar in the UK wanted for burglary in South Wales in September, sent his photograph himself to a local newspaper saying he prefers it to his mugshot. The South Wales Evening Post said that Maynard called the newspaper, saying he was not happy with the picture and that he would send in another. The image featured on the front page of the newspaper the next day, with the headline "You Cheeky Burglar".
South Wales police thanked Maynard for releasing the new photo and said he would be arrested soon.
Police said it was useful method to release mugshots via newspapers and 81 criminals were detained in two days in Sputh Wales thank to this method.
