PKK terrorist leaders killed during security operations

PKK representative in Diyarbakir Ali Ihsan Ike and representative in the regions of Hakkari, Shirnak, Mardin (Kurds call these regions as â€œBotanâ€) Niyazi Akin were among the killed terrorists.

The first operation was conducted in the mountain Chirav in Siirt on May 17. The security forces identified places where Niyazi Akin and his three assistants held a meeting and contacted with PKK leaders in northern Iraq. Turkish F-16 bombers Super Cobra helicopters hit the identified targets in that area and killed Akin and his assistants.

The second operation took place in Diyarbakirâ€™s Lice region. Turkish commandos attacked the area where PKK leaders gathered for a meeting. Their place was identified according to the intelligence reports. PKK targets were bombed at first and the terrorists, who tries to escape, faces with the commandos. Four terrorists â€“ Ali Ihsan Ike, Sattar Alizada, Leila Shanli and Zubeida Chetinkaya were killed.

PKK leaders based in the mountain Kandil in northern Iraq ordered to the terrorists to conduct revenge actions inside Turkey. Turkeyâ€™s General Staff and Police Headquarters warned all law-enforcement bodies to strengthen the security measures.
