Terry Davis calls Turkey-Armenia rapprochement as a positive state

Strasbourg. Fuad Gulubeyli â€“APA. PACE Secretary General Terry Davis held a press conference within the spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The Secretary General mentioned the Turkey-Armenia relations as well, APA European bureau reports. â€œThere are progresses in Armenia, but I donâ€™t see a progress in the most concerned issue for me. Despite more than year has passed since March events, there are no reports about the arrest of instigators or search for them. The law-enforcement organizations must do that. Regarding the opening of Turkey-Armenia borders, I can say that rapprochement between the two members of the Council of Europe is a good state. It is time to open the new page. The â€œEastern Partnershipâ€ is intending to support the non-EU countries. Someone will accept it as an extension of range of influence, but others will accept it as the EU support to the mentioned countries. I have to note that it is not always easy to reach common opinion within the European Unionâ€.
