Christian Giudicelli said the company is going to start the production soon.
“In order to reach this goal large-scale studies are being conducted regarding the field. Commercial sides of the development of Absheron field are being studied. The development program of the field will be given to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). Exploration will be possible after that,” he said.
The manager said the company plans to sign contract on construction in 2017.
“The first assessment well will be put into operation in 2017. The first gas will be produced in 2020. The target is 3-5 billion cu m in the first stage.”
The partners of the Total E&P Azerbaijan company are SOCAR and GDF SUEZ.
