Total: To concentrate on Absheron field is a part of our global policy

Baku - APA-Economics. “Currently, Absheron gas field is an only asset of French Total Company in this sphere. The Final Investment Decision related to the field has not passed yet. This means that we are exploring the project and its development in the future”, Managing Director of Total Azerbaijan Denis Lemarchal said.

Mr. Lemarchal noted that the company focused on elaboration of development program in 2014 and the document will be submitted to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in the mid of 2015.

“As you know, we sold our share in Shahdeniz to concentrate on Absheron field. This is a part of Total’s global policy in terms of assets management. We intend to concentrate on more profitable projects”, Lemarchal said.
