Baku-APA. Next meeting of the Tariff (price) Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held, and tariffs for telecommunication services, domestic air transport, selling natural gas to large consumers (Azerenergy OSC and Azerkimya PU) and prices of some oil products were considered, APA reports quoting Tariff Council.
In the meeting of the council, the prices of some telecommunication services were considered and relevant resolutions were adopted as the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies addressed to the Tariff (price) Council on the prices of several telecommunication services.
Communication services for the deployment of the telephone was reduced from 40-120 AZN to 30 AZN, International call tariffs depending on zones from 36, 45 and 54 kopecks to 32 kopecks per minute (1 kopeck=0,01 AZN), call tariff between cities from 7 kopecks to 5 kopecks per minute, monthly usage fees for fax equipment from 80 kopecks to 50 kopecks, ordered phone calls via “107” was kept on the level 5 kopecks for rural areas, for the city and regions was reduced by 2 times and approved as 10 kopecks.
Alongside, fees for the changing registered owner of the telephone, explanation for the international calls, monthly maintenance for telephone, selection of telephone number were cancelled.
In the meeting a monthly fee for stationary telephones was defined as 2,5 AZN and for budgetary organizations as 7 AZN, for non-budgetary organizations the fee was kept as 7 AZN per month.
The Tariff council also ratified existing tariffs for domestic air transport services as the highest tariff limit. Tariffs for domestic cargo, post and baggage exceeding norms were kept on pervious level (30 kopecks including VAT).
In the meeting, tariffs for selling natural gas to establishments, engaged in some oil products, chemistry, aluminum, steel-foundering basing on iron ore as well as power plant, rendered by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic, were considered and relevant regulations were carried out. As, the retail price for a liter of gasoline Aİ-95 is set at 80 kopecks while the retail price of gasoline in Aİ-92 and Aİ-80 - 70 copecks per liter.
Retail price of one liter of diesel fuel was set at 60 kopecks. The tariff for the sale of natural gas to the companies of chemistry, aluminum, steel-foundering basing on iron ore as well as power plant establishments rose to 80 manat per one thousand cubic meters.
New tariffs on telecommunication services will enter into force from January 1, 2014 and other new approved tariffs will enter into force from December 3, 2014.
