SOCAR to invest $1 bln in carbamide plant to be built in Georgia

Georgia. Nizami Mammadzadeh – APA. Carbamide plant to be built in 2014 will be an object which Azerbaijan makes a large investment in Georgia, the SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev told journalists in Sadakhli village near Armenia, APA reports quoting Georgian bureau.

Accoring to him, Azerbaijan also started to build such object and after operation, a fertilizer will be got from gas: “We want to implement such project in Kulevi terminal. Technical works have been completed and we have held presentation of this project jointly with Georgian government. At the second stage, projection has already started and if the project is completed in 2014, we’ll start construction of the plant. This is one of the projects with the largest investment. Within the construction 3,500-4,000 persons will work and 700-800 persons will be provided with the permanent job afer operation of the plant. ”

Nearly $1 bln investment has been made in the construction of the plant: “This will be the largest investment made by Azerbaijan in Georgia. Our goal is to strengthen Georgia-Azerbaijan friendship and improve the well-being of our cognates in Georgia”.
