Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. Formation of TANAP (Trans-Anatolian Pipeline) shareholders will be completed by early 2015, said the Head of Investments Department of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan at the 13th conference on investments and energy regulation of the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA).
According to him, formation procedure of 12%-equity of BP in TANAP will completed by the year-end: “Procedure on 30%-equity of BOTAS and 58%-equity of SOCAR has already been completed”.
Aliyev reminded that it’s needed to invest $11.3 bln in TANAP.
Speaking about construction of the pipeline, the SOCAR official noted that it will be faced certain difficulties due to complex terrains: “However, we have taken all difficulties into account. TANAP will be launched in the mid of 2018 and European consumers will be able to buy Azerbaijani gas in 2019”.
He said the initial works on pipeline have already been started, construction works will start in April, 2015: “A document on supplying of pipes was signed recently. Another contract on start of construction works will be soon. Thereafter, companies to carry out construction of gas-compressor stations will be chosen through tender”.
