President Ilham Aliyev attends groundbreaking ceremony of Ganja wagon-assembling plant

Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov and President of Stadler Rail Group Peter Spuhler informed the President that Swiss Stadler Rail Group and Azerbaijan-based Railway International Distribution LLC signed a contract on establishment of joint venture for wagon-assembling. According to terms of the contract, a plant with the capacity of assembling 60 wagons per year will be constructed in Ganja. This plant will be supplied with Swiss equipments.

The plans is planned to be launched in 2016.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva have also familiarized with the construction works in the building of Ganja State Philharmonic Society. The head of state was informed that there will be created a concert hall with 1,200 spectators, summer cinema, art gallery, urban center and a lookout tower. The building will include catering facilities, underground garages and auxiliary service rooms. Statues of national coryphaeus will be constructed in the balcony. The building is six-storey. Height is 26 meters. The construction works are about end.

President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva have also attended groundbreaking ceremony of a new building of Ganja State Dramatic Theatre. He was informed that the new building will be located on the right bank of Hanja River, in the intersection of Ahmad Jamil and Mirza Abbas Abbaszadeh streets, in front of Mahsati Ganjavi Center. Total area of building will make 13,000 m². The auditorium is designed for 520 spectators. There will be an underground parking for 150 cars, 150-seat restaurant, tea house, café and other catering facilities.

President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva have attended opening of nursery-kindergarten #2 constructed in Ganja with the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

President and his spouse closely familiarized with the nursery-kindergarten. It was informed that all conditions have been created in the two-storey building for children to grow up healthy. 7 groups were established. Instructive and educational works in these groups are carried out in Azeri and Russian languages. Intellectual, physical and mental development of the children, discovery of their talent and abilities, protection of health are on the focus. For this purpose, modern class rooms were established and supplied all necessary equipments.

President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva have also attended opening of new building of secondary school #4 in Ganja.

The head of state was informed that the school has been in operation since 1936. 930-pupil building of the school was repaired in 2012. The new building includes 48 classes, 4 cabinet-labs, 3 information-computer rooms, canteen for teachers and pupils, and medical room. It was noted that over 2,150 pupils will study in the new academic years.
