Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu - APA-Economics. “There is not any political obstacle for realization of the Trans Caspian Gas Pipeline”, said SOCAR vice-president on investments and marketings Elshan Nasirov.
According to him, some opinions related to the project are unsuccessful: “Imagine, it’s said a pipeline cannot be run across the Caspian Sea bottom. These opinions are based on that the realization of the project will cause destruction of fishes. Why is it impossible to construct a pipeline across the Caspian Sea bottom, while it is possible under the Black Sea? We think that construction of gas pipeline across the bottom of the Caspian Sea will not cause ecologic problems”.
