Baku. Agshin Rafiqoglu – APA-Economics. In January-May 2015, Azerbaijan’s main pipelines transported 19.4 mln tonnes of oil, down 2.02% compared to the same period in 2014.
The State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics that 76.7% of the transportation was carried out via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil export pipelines and this pipeline transported 14.9 mln tonnes of oil, down 0.66% compared to a year earlier.
During this period, 3.0 mln tonnes of Turkmen oil brought to the country by ships were transported via the BTC pipeline from the Sangachal terminal, up 30% in annual comparison.
During the reporting period, the country’s main gas pipelines transported 9.8 bln cubic meters of gas, up 3.15% from 2014. 30.9% (3.0 bln cubic meters) of the transported gas was realized via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum—South Caucasus Pipeline, up 11.1% by contrast to a year earlier.
