Azerbaijan sees 3% rise in mining sector production

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. In January-May 2015, the production in the mining sector amounted to AZN 6,888.5 mln, up 2.5% from previous year.

State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that 17,635,800 tonnes of crude oil (including gas condensate) were produced in the country, down 0.8% by contrast to a year earlier. Consequently, as of June 1, the finished products made 260,100 tonnes.

Of this, 17,612,500 tonnes are marketable oil, up 0.9% compared to a year earlier.

Moreover, the country produced 12,187,800,000 cubic meters of natural gas, down 4.7% in annual comparison. Of this, 8,476,600,000 cubic meters are marketable gas, up 11.5% compared to 2014.
