Azerbaijan sees 32% rise in production by wind power stations

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. In January-May 2015 Azerbaijan’s sector of production, distribution and supply of energy, gas and steam produced AZN 829.2 mln-products, up 4.3% from previous year.

State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that the sector of production in water supply, waste treatment and processing raised 7.0% to AZN 91.0 mln.

In the five months of 2015, 10,000.2 mln kWh of energy was produced, up 2.8% in annual comparison.

Water power stations produced 704.9 mln kWh of products, up 27.% from previous year, heating power stations produced 8,828.1.2 mln kWh of production, up 1.3% by contrast to a year earlier.

Wind power stations’ production advanced 31.8% to 2.9 mln kWh, solar power stations produced 1.2 mln kWh.

The production on water treatment and distribution fell 0.9% to 103.8 mln cubic meters.
