Azerbaijan sees 14% rise in manufacturing of oil products

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. In January-May 2015, Azerbaijan produced AZN 1,062.4 mln-products, up 14.3% from previous year.

State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that gasoline production stood at 525,600 tonnes, up 18.9% from 2014. Consequently, finished products made 90,800 tonnes.

Diesel production rose 20.7% to 1,347,000 tonnes (finished product – 78,300 tonnes), kerosene production surged 15.6% to 291,100 tonnes (finished product – 46,800 tonnes), oil bitumen production dropped 52.9% to 55,700 tonnes (finished product – 3,500 tonnes), and lubricating oil production declined 63.4% to 7,100 tonnes (finished product – 12,300).

93,900 tonnes of petrol for petro-chemical industry were produced during the same period, up 63.3% by contrast to a year earlier. Finished product made 2,200 tonnes.

Moreover, Azerbaijan produced 2,000 tonnes of fuel oil (-98.0%). As of June 1, 2015, the finished product stood at 1,700 tonnes.

At the same time, gasoil production advanced 3.5 times to 415,600 tonnes with the finished products of 7,200 tonnes.
