In the period from January to September of the current year, bp's direct expenditures on local workforce (services) and materials under contracts signed with local companies and foreign contractors operating in the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Türkiye region amounted to 1,116.5 million USD, marking a 0.23% decrease compared to the previous year, APA-Economics reports citing bp's report on its operations in Azerbaijan for the third quarter of the current year.
According to the document, during the reporting period, bp spent 476.9 million USD within joint ventures with local partners (14 companies).
The report also notes that bp's expenditures on foreign contractors' costs within the country (86 companies) totaled 266 million USD. Additionally, the company spent 338.6 million USD with 241 small and medium-sized enterprises and 35 million USD with 28 state-owned companies during the same period.
