Azerbaijan hosts international conference on energy and environment
Fagan Aliyev, President of International Ecornergy Academy, said sat the opening ceremony that Azerbaijani scientists submitted 275 and foreign scientists submitted 30 scientific works to the conference.
The conference will hear reports on "Best practices in construction: the advantages of high-quality buildings," "Introduction of new technologies for environmental friendly plating production ", "Deployment of Satelite SAR system to monitor the possible risks in oil, gas and water extraction," "Importance of legislative instruments for development of renewable sources of energy"," Development Trends of Azerenerji "," Current status of bioresources of the Caspian Sea "," Water-salt balance of the Caspian Sea "," Environmental problems related to Azerbaijan’s production of refining and petrochemicals , "Climate change impacts on the environment", etc. .
Industry and Energy Minister Natig Aliyev noted the rapid development of Azerbaijan’s energy sector has allowed the country to export electricity and gas. He also stressed the need for annual review environmental programmes to address environmental problems.
ANAS President Mahmud Karimov also spoke about the importance of introducing modern technologies in the energy sector.
Then, Fagan Aliyev presented the International Ecoenergy Academy’s Gold Medals to Natig Aliyev, Mahmud Karimov and Gulchohre Mammadova who is the rector of Azerbaijan State University of Architecture and Construction.
The three-day conference is attended by more than 30 delegations from the USA, Japan, Ukraine, Italy and other countries.
